Your Containers and Drums?

For any cooling tower maintenance, scale control is crucial. Normally scale control is done using liquids that contain antiscalants and corrosion inhibitors. It is a good enough method, but hardly the most convenient. Adding chemicals to the cooling towers, especially the ones on the roof, can be tough. Furthermore, the drums that contain the chemicals
are difficult to transport, store, and prepare for recycling.
Recycling vs. Reuse Containers
Cleaning hazardous chemical containers prior to recycling or disposal can be costly and time-consuming.

Most chemicals for scale and corrosion control come in a liquid form so draining and triple rinsing the empty containers for recycling is a must. This presents a few unique problems.
Hazardous and reactive chemicals require careful handling and all chemicals require specialized personal protective equipment (PPE). Special arrangements* are often needed for a proper cleaning, and the standards for cleaning, drying, and tagging requires extra manpower, resources, and the proper disposal of the rinse water.
So, what is the alternative? Fortunately, a safe and green alternative is now available, with less waste and significantly easier handling.

Frequently Asked Questions:
- What is the optimal G-C SolidTrac® Application?
Application: This product is intended for use as scale and corrosion
control inhibitors in open recirculating cooling water
systems, air washers, and evaporative condensers.
- How is chemical delivery monitored and controlled?
Our proprietary system of installed sensors measures the chemical concentration levels in the water and regulates the chemical feed. The G-C LumiTrac® system combines the best of innovative G-C treatment and technology to ensure continuous monitoring and reliable treatment with fast and easy-to-access reporting.
- How does the price of solid chemicals compare to the use of liquid chemical treatment?
In addition to the features listed above, you can find additional savings in convenience and ease of use, transportation and labor costs, and the benefits of an eco-friendly system.
- What does a typical system installation look like?
Restore your equipment room and regain valuable storage areas with our state-of-the-art design and installation.

*Special Arrangements – The EPA has specific standards and fines up to $28,000 per container if not properly prepared and tagged. Local regulations may apply to the collection and proper disposal of rinse water. Also, there are 2 classifications of disposal water to be designated as “hazardous” and “extremely hazardous”. As all containers must also be drip-dried, facility space will be required and properly designated.
