Dear Valued Customer,
We are all concerned with the current COVID-19 threat. As an essential service provider, Garratt-Callahan will continue our work to serve your water treatment and water safety needs. We know you have systems, employees, vendors, and customers that need protection and our customized/tailored programs are designed to maintain those systems.
Protecting Your Employees & Water Treatment Systems
Our employees, through exercising cautionary measures as outlined by the CDC, federal, state and local authorities are ready to provide you service and consultative advice, to the extent that your and our own safety protocols allow. We will work with you to mitigate risk in both airborne and waterborne environments and keep your people and your equipment protected.
When considering your water treated systems, we ask you to be aware of the following:
- Chemical Inventory. G-C and our employees are available to serve your water treatment and water safety needs with a reliable source of inventory and supply. Although supply from our 5 factories is reliable, we believe it is prudent to keep 60 to 90 days of chemical inventory on hand, as we can’t predict the availability of transportation nor can we predict other factors outside our control.
- Onsite Visits. We will provide service to your facility per your visitation guidelines, and will be available to take calls, orders, product inventories, etc. during this period, either in person or on the phone as required. Should you choose to delay service with our personnel coming into your facilities, we want to ensure there are contingency plans in place to protect your critical infrastructure and systems.
- System Maintenance In Spite of Reduced Usage. Most treated water systems, even those with reduced loads, still require corrosion inhibition and biological control and will need to be passivated and disinfected to be ready for use if you decide to lay these systems up. Cooling water, boilers, and closed systems will still need to be circulated and treated, even in vacant buildings, or in systems with reduced production. We will help you manage these changing conditions.
- Water Safety & Disinfection. Water Safety and disinfection are very important now more than ever. Waterborne diseases and COVID-19 are different infections, and a person with one may become compromised and more susceptible to the other. Both need to be controlled in your facility.
Help Reopening After a COVID-19 Shutdown
Now that many businesses are reopening as COVID-19 restrictions are eased, facilities and property managers must address water system disruptions caused by partial or full building closures. At the start of the pandemic, many businesses were unable to follow the proper layup procedures to avoid microbiological fouling, equipment corrosion, and other detrimental situations under control. Garratt-Callahan is here to help you assess each risk, help you develop a water safety plan, and guide you through its implementation. Complete the form on the left to get the help you need to reopen your building safely.
Our representatives will be contacting you prior to visiting your facility to make sure our physical visits are permissible as an essential provider.
Sincerely,
Jeff Garratt
